Sophisticated computer simulations and specially-formatted
movies are projected throughout the inner surface of each
dome to create a really exciting learning environment which captivates and ‘wow’s every group!
Simon uses his wealth of teaching and lecturing experience to carefully pitch the content and delivery of every presentation
to be appropriate for the particular group involved. He is
pleased to offer shows for all ages, from Nursery children
through to A-level and even university students – and for
families, youth groups and the general public, too.
Every Space Odyssey presentation is a live, interactive
experience, but where appropriate, shows can include
breathtaking immersive films created especially for use
in the dome environment.
Simon has taken his domes to schools, colleges, youth and adult groups and organisations such as the National Trust, museums and libraries throughout the South West of England, South Wales and beyond. He has also worked with National Park authorities and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to promote public engagement with the night skies and sometimes leads guided public stargazing sessions for such organisations, too! In 2016 & 2017, he took the Space Odyssey planetarium to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth. Follow this link to hear what young people discovered in the dome…
