Space Odyssey is delighted to offer a range of planetarium presentations especially designed for volunteer groups such as Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Brownies etc.
These dome experiences differ from Simon's school presentations in that they not only link directly with appropriate Award Badge criteria (if applicable) but also allow much more time to explore the night skies as seen from around the world. Space Odyssey's incredible Cosmodyssee III star projector allows the audience to be transported around the globe to experience breathtaking night skies we never get to see from the UK!
It is recommended that each group be allowed an hour or more for their session so they can enjoy a lengthy time in the dome as well as having the opportunity to ask Simon lots of questions afterwards! It is often possible to plan two or more sessions in a single evening, e.g. 6:00 - 7:15pm, 7:20 - 8:35pm, 8:40 - 9:55pm
The cost of these superb presentations is just £4.50 per child and £6 per adult. A minimum fee will apply, which will depend on the distance to be travelled from Simon's home in Devon. The minimum fee will be in the range £160 - £220 for bookings in the South West with an additional modest supplement further afield.
